Trust, privacy & simple terms

UpliftBridge is built for quiet kindness. We try to protect both donors and people receiving help, while keeping the language here as human as possible. This page is not a complete legal contract, but it explains the spirit in which the platform is run.

How we use your information

  • We collect only the information needed to run the platform: basic contact details, story text, and optional photos.
  • Public pages never show full private addresses, ID numbers or sensitive documents. Please do not include those in your stories.
  • We may contact you about your need or donation, for example to clarify details or share an update.
  • We never sell your contact details to advertisers. If we ever work with carefully chosen partners (such as schools or payment providers), it will be to serve the purpose of the platform, not to trade your data.

Your choices

  • You can ask us to correct or remove your story if your situation changes.
  • Donors can choose to give quietly without their name being shown publicly.
  • You can ask to stop receiving non-essential emails from us.
  • If you ever feel uncomfortable about how your information is used, we want to hear from you and will do our best to address it.

Simple terms of use

  • By posting a need, you confirm that the story is true to the best of your knowledge and that you have permission to share it.
  • By donating, you understand that funds are used for the purpose described whenever reasonably possible. Some details (like exact brand of items) may change so that help can be given in a practical way.
  • We reserve the right to decline or remove stories that feel dishonest, harmful, unsafe or disrespectful.
  • UpliftBridge cannot guarantee specific outcomes (for example a particular exam result or long-term success), but we do our best to guide help to people who will use it wisely.

If something goes wrong

We hope you will never need this section. If you believe a story was dishonest, a photo is inappropriate, or a gift was misused, please contact us with as much detail as possible.

  • We will review the situation carefully.
  • If needed, we may pause a story, request more information, or remove it.
  • We will learn from every mistake and keep improving how the platform protects both donors and receivers.

UpliftBridge is still small and evolving. These guidelines may grow over time, but the heart will stay the same: to carry kindness with honesty, humility and respect for everyone involved.
